All of Us

As soon as you stepped through my door,
I saw You for the first time all over again.
And time well spent seems
Lonelier than the way it used to go.

As I smell you for the first time all over again
I'll begin to remember to be alive
So if you don't mind
I think I'll wear my heart on my sleeve,
'Cause I'm tired of not being able to breathe.

All of us are searching for an open arm.
Well, it's a shame how I curl up in the dark
When it's the same old word giving me the spark.

All of us are searching for an open arm.
Well, it's a shame how I curl up in the dark
When it's the same old word giving me the spark.

I've felt a loss for some time
I slipped, stumbled, but fell face first
straight into your hand.
Then I hit my head on your palm
And waking up to the smell
Of tears drying up in the sand

All of us are searching for an open arm.
Well, it's a shame how I curl up in the dark
When it's the same old word giving me the spark.

All of us are searching for an open arm.
Well, it's a shame how I curl up in the dark
When it's the same old word giving me the spark.

I washed my wounds with tears of hope.
I washed my wounds with tears of hope.
I just ...

All of us are searching for an open arm
Well, it's a shame how I pull myself apart.
When it's the same words making me run for cover to
your heart.

(All of us are searching for an open arm)
When it's the same words making me run for cover to
your heart.
(All of us are searching for an open arm)
(All of us are searching for an open arm)

That's a cool song that I am listening to right now.  I just got finished listening to the new killswitch engage album on the net and it is cool to listen to and I must say that it is heavier than the last one but it still has the same feel to the songs that you can tell it is them so they have not really changed the sound too much they just got heavier and new vocals. I also, finally got my computer to work so I can see the new Breaking Benjamin video for "So Cold" and it is alright but it is mostly just a promo run for the Hellboy movie and you dont even see the band in it so I hope they make another video to release with some more performance shots but it is alright I guess.  Oh yeah I finally got my free shirt in the mail the other day for The Punisher movie and it just has the skull on the front that he wears in the movie which is pretty cool. I have also noticed several other freshman and sophmores with the shirt so I can tell who the new breed of streetteamers are.  I just thought I would put that up because I dont really have much to update about except for Saturday night but I am too lazy to talk about it right now...it was interesting to say the least. Maybe I shall post it laters.

Was this just ever meant to be.......

Well Saturday night started off fairly normal....First off I had to pick up West and Natalie and we drove over to Tremont to go see the Norma Jean, Underoath, Beloved, Dead Poetic, and Haste The Day show.

When we first got there, there was a line going all the way back to the woods and we could tell it was going to sell out so we skipped a bunch of kids and got in right before it supposedly sold out.  When we got there Haste The Day had already played but I hear that I did not miss very much. Anyhoo, Dead Poetic was setting up and I watched most of their set which wasn't too shabby but I felt kind of bad for him because it seemed as though he were trying to talk the crowd into dancing for him but it just wasn't working out but they got somewhat of a reaction. After that Beloved came on and I watched a few songs from them before walking down to the gas station to get me some refreshment and a light snack and met this group of kids who had come all the way up from Columbia, SC to get some tattoos and they needed directions to Independence Blvd. so I gladly assisted them while talking about the bands that were playing.  When I got back to Tremont, Beloved played just a couple more songs then Underoath came on and I decided to get some pit action going on for a little bit but soon after I realized that dancing STILL isn't my thing I just resorted to pushing myself as close to the stage as I could while at the same time clapping along with everyone which the band seemed to love.  However, when the set was pretty much over I felt at my belt loop for the keys and felt my heart sink when I realized that........I could feel no keys so in a panic I walked out to the lobby to gather my thoughts together but when I looked down I realized that I had put the keys on a different belt loop than usual so I was relieved and then I looked over at the wall and saw some pretty cool posters up on the wall so I took some down as souvenirs but I accidentally grabbed a rufio poster in the mix so if you know anyone that likes them then let me know and I will gladly hand over the Rufio poster.  Anyhoo, I took the posters out to the car and came back in to watch Norma Jean play a few songs and I liked how they had a light show and a film playing on the background but I quickly learned that most of their songs seemed to sound the same but alot of other people seemed to enjoy throwing down to them so to each their own but I was tired from Underoath so I just retired to the car and chatted on the cell till the rest of the kids came out when the show was almost over so we could leave.

After that is when the night took a turn for the worse...

On our way home when I was looking for the exit for us to get back onto 74 I was listening to West and Jessie talking about the show and missed the exit to 74 East and turned onto 74 West instead for some reason I still havent figured out. Anyhoo, I figured I would just be able to get off of an exit and just go right across and come out the other side so I would be going West but NOOOOOOO....the geniouses that designed the roads in Charlotte just decided to stick a one way street going the opposite way of where I was wanting to go so I decided I had no choice but to modify, but no matter which way I went there was always a random one-way sign keeping me from going the way I wanted to go so we somehow end up at Ericsson stadium so I let the kids out so they can goof off for a bit while I scout the area to see if I could find South Blvd. really quick but after about 10 minutes I took a u-turn and went back for them. So here we are at about 12:30 going around our damn elbows in the ghettos of Charlotte so instead of spending hours getting lost further into oblivion I decided to pull over and ask for directions. It just so happened that at the gas station I turned into I was the only white person that was not wearing the golden badge of courage and some firepower. Anyhoo, I pulled open the door even though it looked like it was a military base because all the windows had a cage type deal around them but I just asked for the way and they kindly helped me out and I was on my way again going the right way this time in only 30 minutes.

After that, I went ahead and stopped at Taco Bell since they were still open at that time of night and then we dropped West off since his dad was being kind of weird about the whole deal and then we went over to Weddington to drop Natalie off.  On the way back we realized that the roads in Weddington look really creepy late at night because in alot of parts there is hardly any light and a bunch of tall grass and trees lining the road...it kind of reminded me of Jeepers Creepers. Anyhoo, me and jessie were finally on our way home and it was about 2 and so I looked down at the gas needle and saw that the drive to and from charlotte and to weddington had put a hurting on it so I decided to stop at the On The Run Station right there off 74 outside of my hood. After I got my gas it was about 2:30 and I looked at the intersection and saw that noone was anywhere in site so I just went ahead and merged onto the road and look in my mirror and a police officer was in my mirror.

After being scared out of my mind we finally got back to the hood a little bit after 2:30 and get on my street finally ready to call it a night. However, to my ghastly horror I found that the parental units had decided to come home a day early and I was out driving on my last week of having the 9 o'clock curfew on my license.

So to keep from getting in trouble we roll past the house and start wondering where we are going to spend the night because it isn't exactly like you can just call someone at close to 3 in the morning and ask if you can crash at their place because somehow that just doesn't come across too well so being that it was Easter Sunday and the only place that I could think of that was open was WAL-MART who is open 24/7 so we rolled up to the wally world, parked the car, walked in to the section with all the couch chairs and  I crashed for a few hours while jessie read a book and told anyone who wanted to know about us that we had been driving from florida, lying is bad.

Anyhoo, after a little bit of rest and a Red Bull to get the day started I finally came home and started working on my term paper which is taking forever and I don't think it is going to turn out very well but this is a heck of a way to end Spring Break. Kudos to all the kids coming back from the beach it's probably a long trip today....

*this is just now getting posted because I had to finish a few parts of it because i was being lazy*

That is all for now. Peace, Love, and Respect thyself.

GATORBOOTS

Well today has certainly been interesting. I woke up around 10:30 and had to work on part of my term paper for ms.shoryer so I can chomp at the bit and get that sheet done before the parental units return from vacation then around 12:30 I went out and got me some Chic-fil-a and I must say that the turning lane down there by Media Play in Matthews is a damned humbug because I listened to atleast 4 or 5 songs before I finally made it through the turn because it only let like 3 cars go each time then we had to wait like 4 minutes till the next rotation but while I was waiting I heard Vanilla Ice "Ice ice baby" for the first time in a looooooooong time and then I was finally able to make it to the Chic-fil-a so to avoid the long drive-thru I decided to park my happy ass and go inside only to find out that the line was still fairly long but after a few minutes I finally got my number 4 and sat down to eat that thing.

After I finished eating I went over to Heaven's house and had to wait for her and Allie to finish getting ready and did a whole lot of nothing for a little bit but they busted out some of their CD's and I watched as they danced along to some of their favorite songs which was amusing for a bit and then we got some banana fudge ice cream and a whopping bowl of that until Brandon got in from his training around 5 and we stood around trying to figure out what to do before going up to Brandon's workplace so he could finish working on a cabinet that they were making and I must say that it was an interesting place because it looked like it was like a makeshift pad for when some guy gets kicked out of the house by the wife unit and also had a racecar in it that no longer worked. After about an hour or so over there her dad came and picked us up and waited for him to barbecue some suppers and at some point the three of us ended up on the roof lying down for a bit and then I had to get my awkard self to attempt catching the cat and somehow managed to get it back in the house without jumping off the roof and was able to somehow keep my fatass from getting stuck between the bed and the window on the way back in which turned out to be quite a trick but I lived and then we went down ate some suppers which I must say was pretty good myself. Afterward we took Allie back to her place of residence and I hung out for a couple more hours till midnight before finally leaving because I randomly chose to say that I hade to be home around midnight earlier that evening to make it sound somewhat believable even though it didnt matter.

On my way home I stopped by McDonalds and got me a number 4 with Powerade which turned out looking kind of dark and tasting alot like coke in my opinion but that could just be me.  When I got to the crib and finished eating the midnight meal whatever you want to call it I got on the computer for a little bit to check the mail getting ready to call it a night but instead my bro asked me to come pick them up and go do something and since I wasn't feeling sleepy anyhow I went ahead and left.

Around 1:30 I rolled up to Daniel's house and Jessie, Daniel , Steve, and Jayme all got in and we started driving towards Weddington. When we passed by Weddington High School we decided that we didnt really want to go that way so we turned around and went to Breckonridge to see Daniel's gf who wasn't quite expecting us so when we got there her and one of her friends were laying down in their driveway and didnt know who we were but when we turned around in the culdesac they started running which was hilarious and then everyone jumped out of the car and chased after them and they finally recognized who we were when they got to the porch even though she barely knew me or my bro. After the initial shock died down we just kind of hung out there for about an hour while Daniel tried to convince her to gangster her dad's keys to the Cherokee which I knew my ass wasn't going to drive and we messed around with some of the neighbors houses for some amusement. Then when she finally thought that her dad was asleep Daniels gf crawled back in the window and opened the front door so we could all come in and it wasn't 15 minutes until her mom walked in and just sees 5 guys she had no clue were there and just yells "HOLY SHIT!!!" and her eyes get wide as saucers and she grabbed her chest but it was hilarious because all of us took off running out the door but finally went back in to talk to her when the shock left her which was rather humorous because you could tell she wasnt quite expecting that many people over at 3 in the morning but she was cool with us being there for a bit but Daniel was afraid of the dad so we finally left. After that, we had to first stop by my house so Jessie could pick up the American history X dvd and some lighters because evidently they brought some firecrackers that were really loud so being the jackasses that they are they convinced me to take them up to one of the residential neighborhoods in Weddington where one of them evidently knew someone out there and they lit a couple of those M-80 type things in their drive ways and took off running to my car down the street and we took off. Even though it was a pretty jackass thing to do we all had an adrenaline rush and the suspense was killing Daniel and Jayme while we waited in the car because their voices were quivering but I was just ready to jet but once we got out of the hood and down the road it was a feeling of relief but there was a rush of excitement as they planned on doing it again but instead we just went back to Daniel's house real quick where I met a couple of the neighbors before we went out to McDonald's to pick up something and evidently at 4 they only serve breakfast now but I think the employee was just being a jerk but I guess that is Karma for us and I got the kids some food before dropping everyone back off at Daniel's and finally getting back to the house a little after 5:15.

Well that is about it for a rather eventful day/night if I do say so myself and being that it is a little after 6 now I think I will go ahead and try to catch me a few hours of shut eye before getting the day restarted again.  Today looks like I am having a couple of Red Bulls for breakfast and maybe another one later on in the day because I have to be able to make it through the Norma Jean/Underoath show tonight and get some more of that term paper done. Thanks for the time now I am going to go rest. Peace, Love, and Respect thyself.

In memory of the lavender ones.....

Thursday is now over and so is Spring Break for the most part. Damn I hate dial-up with a passion because I can't watch any of the music vids or listen to any of the songs I want to listen to but ehh well. Right now I am listening to the new Breaking Benjamin song "So Cold" which has a vid for the Hellboy soundtrack which should be interesting to see but I love the song so far even if it is still formulated but I am digging it and that is all that matters. Today I went to some park off Weddington Rd. with Heaven, Allie, Rachel, Brandon, Heaven's dad, and some of the little kids and we ate some samiches and hotdogs while I was sizing up one of the local geese or as the sign calls them "waterfowl" but I was preparing to have an all out rumble because I notice that everyone always runs away from geese when they run after people as have I in the past but what for, Im bigger than that damn turkey and whats the worst that can happen...is he going to quack me to death and nibble at me. Anyways, if I would have taken him on and gotten my ass kicked by that assclown then I would have had like 7 people witnessing it so it is probably best that we postponed that match-up for another date. Anyhoo, after we ate I took little Bryan to the playground for a bit and then everyone went to this manmade dam they had made and we went dashing through the woods looking at the lavender butterflies for about an hour before we finally left. Then I had to come home and help the rents pack up for their trip to the beach and got a long lecture about what to do in case anything happens which leads me to my next point, I now have the house to myself for 4 days until Sunday so if anyone wants to do anything just let me know. Tomorrow I am thinking about hanging out with Heaven for most of the afternoon anyways unless something comes up but we shall see what happens. Saturday I am planning on taking Jessie and West up to the Norma Jean/Underoath show at Tremont which should be a grand ol' shindig but I am sure there will probably be some more people involved in going to that show so if you want to go and need a ride just give me a holla cause I have one more seat left unless me bro has already reserved it for someone but I guess I will get more details laters.  Well that is about it for now, if you actually have run across this thing and read all of it god bless your dear sould. Peace, Love, and Respect thyself.

Rose of Sharyn

Well another day of Spring Break is going by rather nonchalantly so I guess I will go ahead and tell about some songs I am listening to.

Killswitch Engage "Rose of Sharyn"
Flaw "Recognize"

The new KsE is sounding much heavier than their last album with the new vocalist which is way cool and Flaw...well just sounds like Flaw but I still love those guys and am anticipating the new albums from both bands in the coming months.

Here are some videos for you to scope sometime:
The Rasmus "In the Shadows"
Blindside (they have a new one I just forgot the title so shoot me now)

But those are both some interesting vids as The Rasmus kind of reminds me of H.I.M. I guess and well Blindside just kicks ass anyhoo and you should be scoping them anyways.

That is about it for now, I think I am going to find some people to cruise with for a bit have a nice day.

Slow Ride.......Taking it Easy

Hello hello hello again to all the kiddos...well Spring Break is now in session for all the highschool breeds and I just got home from the beach yesterday and I must say that I am impressed that I was abled to drive 210 miles on less than a quarter tank of gas on the way home but I guess thats because I was pretty much at a consistant speed, oh yeah and I got that sexy drivers tan on my left arm and some on the left side of my face mmmmmmmm hot stuff right there.  Even though the ride home only took 3 or 4 hours and we had to change stations a few times because we lost the ones we were listening to I must say that everyone must like the new Chingy song because I must have heard it atleast 6 or 7 times, and I heard Usher only 4 times, Jessica Simpson 4 times, the new Ludacris 5 times, and Scorpions "Rock you like a hurricane" dos and that was only on the way back.  I also figured out in one of the small towns around Pee Dee that South Carolina has some interesting road kill because it is not everyday that I see a deer just lying in the median with everyone going by like its normal nut anyhoo.  As for the beach itself, it was alright because Saturday was when everyone was pretty much just getting in to spend the whole week and whatnot but that morning we went to one of the local diner places and had some eggs, pancakes, sausage, and some awesome toast and then went down to the strip at Myrtle Beach. Since I didn't feel like looking for a special parking place for tourists where I had to shell out $6 to park I just took down the parking permit for my condo and parked behind one of the small restraunts near the pavilion then we got our walk on and went to some of the shops that they had out there where everyone seems to try to give you that warm fuzzy feeling inside by mentioning that they have the best deals on the beach like you were the only one they gave those deals to but hey thats how they chose to make a living.   Then we walked around for a wee bit longer and saw some interesting people, chatted it up with a few,  and having store employees trying to stand in our way and make us go into their store even if most of what they had were for the females but we survived and after getting bored we finally went back to the car and drove down Kings Hwy for a bit to see what they had down the other way a little bit before turning back and going to the hotel but not before stopping and eating lunch at Sam's Corner.  When we got back to the room the maternal unit got us back into me car and we went to the Tanger Outlets where I ended up getting about the only pair of boats that they have in my size which turned out to be some "Iversons" which is uncool but oh well I have to take what I can get as always, and then we stopped by some of the other stores and got some shirts and shorts and went on to get some suppers at the Hard Rock Cafe. When we got there Jessie started feeling sick so he stayed out in the units Durango while we went in. When I first got in we had to wait for a few to be seated so I looked around at some of the memorobilia they had chillin on the walls and that held my interest for a bit before we were seated next to a group of about 25-30 girls that must have been in a sorority together or something because they just kept saying some of those slogan chants and it seemed as if all of them had cameras with them because they were taking forever and a day for them to all get pictures with the whole group with every single camera but they were a humorous group to watch after that with some of their random announcements and breaking into song when Nickelback "Someday" came on the tv/radio thing that the restraunt has going on for them but then the buffalo wings got there and I focused my attention to how magnificent those wings were basking in all of their glory of hot sauce coating needless to say they were pretty good and then when the rest of the meal got there I had a huge Barbecue Sandwich while the chitlins had random kids menu items and me stepdad got a fajita that from what I tried wasn't too bad. Afterwards, we went to the gift shop and went on about our merry little way. When we got back to the car Jessie was feeling better so we went by the Taco Bell where my brother went in to keep from waiting in the lined that was wrapping around the building for the drive thru but he still ended up waiting about 30 minutes after he ordered his food. However, while he was waiting a red truck pulled up next to me and the driver went in but while he was in I watched the passenger door open and some guy sticks his head out the door and just starts barfing everywhere for about 5 minutes all over the parking lot and flooding the doorwell of the truck. Once he finished and the smell started becoming strong I decided I should go in so I would not get sick as well and when I got in I saw about 9 people that go to my school that I guess just got in and said hey but left it at that.  When my bro finally got his tacos we went back to the condo and walked down to the arcade/pier area and hung out there for a bit before calling it a night and waking up the next morning to drive home. Well that is about it for my weekend so to keep from wasting anymore of your time I will go for now. Peace, Love, and Respect thyself.

90 on the freeway and those backlights are approaching awfully fast.....

Hey what's up again peoples, well it is finally Friday and I just got back in from the Celebration Station and listening to some 80's jams ranging from madonna to bands that you forget quicker than their hair. Anyhoo, the past week has been somewhat eventful being that I was able to go to the show on wednesday night with no glitches and finally ended the jynx with Peter's car so that is always a good thing. As for the show itself, I got there 2 or 3 songs into Vaux's set so I missed Moments in Grace but I hear they were kind of mediocre but I was rather impressed with Vaux because they put on a good show and I liked their songs then PTW came on and the singer tripped onto the stage and laid there for a moment and mentioned it in the middle of a song without interrupting the song if you listened to the lyrics which I thought was rather humorous but after their set my ears were still ringing and I stepped outside to chat on the phone for a few with Heaven. While I was outside I also saw PTW's singer talking with one of the local fans and he got into their SUV and they took off to get some drinks or something but shortly afterward I went back in to watch the rest of Thrice and they were just flat out awesome.  After the show, I passed out some DVD's and purchased Vaux's cd before leaving on my way home from one of the best shows I have seen in the past year. On Thursday, me mums finally decided to pick up my new tire and I got my car back after 5 weeks which was a humbling experience in ways and then I took it out to the carwash but the scrubby brush things missed the back end of my car so I will have to clean that at some point this weekend and we also finally fixed my homemade futon so that I have an even bed to sleep on once again so hoorah for that. Well, that is about all for now...Buckfest is tomorrow at The Neighborhood Theater for anyone interested in that show but I believe I am just going to call it a night. Peace....

Learning to ride the Trike

Whats up people, this is what would be considered my first entry as I try to learn this blog trick. This will be where I write random things about the past week, things to come, things on my mind, etc. whenever I get really bored for those that really care. Anyhoo...to get things started, I have a research project to work on this weekend for Shroyer which is always just a ball and my stepdad's big 5-0 is going to be tomorrow night so we shall see how that turns out. As for the upcoming week I'm going to see Thrice, Poison The Well, and Moments in Grace at the Tremont Music Hall on Wednesday and then maybe Breaking Benjamin at Amos' Southend for the $1.06 show that they are having the next night which would be interesting. Tonight, there is a show at Tremont that looks like it might be interesting: A Closing Skyline, A Paris Centerfold, and another handful of bands so go get your dancing shoes on for that one. Well to keep you from wasting too much more time reading this I am just going to leave it at that for now and will update this later. Thanks for your time, peace, love, and respect yourself.
